The 6th International Dragon Boat Festival, Club Crew World Championship ( CCWC) 2008  was held in Penang, Malaysia from 31st July till 3rd Aug 2008. It's the World Cup of the Dragon Boat Federation and takes place once every 2 years around the world. Penang was honored to hold this prestigious event this time around as Penang was recently awarded World Heritage Award by UNESCO.

The 4 days event was held at The Teluk Bahang Dam attracting participants from 22 countries with 159 teams, each team selected to be the best from their respective country to compete in this Dragon Boat World Cup!

FE was honored to participate as one of the Official Sponsors, sponsoring in cash RM5,000.00 to the Penang State Goverment to run the event. FE also sponsored the PENANG FORWARD SPORTS CLUB with Quantum Pendants, the local Penang dragon boat team consisting a Premier and a Junior team.

CCWC Premier Open 200 meter race.

Forward Premier Team clocked best time in their heat race, went into the final beating  20 over countries whose team members are bigger built in size and height. Forward Premier Team is the only Malaysian team that made it to the finals of 200 meter event.

Forward Junior Team won the Bronze medal in the International Grand Final meet!

Forward Premier Team made it to the finals for this event where they have to compete with other country teams whose team members are almost twice their size!

Forward Junior Team once again won the Bronze Medal in the International Grand Final meet!

These results are amazing for a local team up against the best (and bigger sized opponents) in the world! The Forward Team saw significant improvement in their times , stamina and strength with FE's QP!!

FE's exhibition booth attracted a lot of visitors , local and overseas.Everyone who visited our booth was amazed by the demonstrations we performed. It was like our experience at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, USA ! We  received a lot of enquiries from America, Australia, Canada, Germany, Iran, New Zealand , just to name a few. People has been flooding our booth and the response was so great as the news start to spread about FE's QP among the participating teams.

This event has brought FE to greater heights and our QP to the world!!!

It was a sweet AND successful event for all!!
